Nos - Oldskool platform action
I wrote this little game in 2005 for the 15th Game In A Day competition. The game theme was “Impaling”.

I wanted classic platformer gameplay with a modern, sharp look - high-res backgrounds and prerendered 3D character animations.
Nos was built in Dev-C++ using a custom platform engine on top of HGE. Much art was original, with some textures from Golgotha. The character was rigged and rendered in Poser, and the oft-overlooked GraphicsGale was used to create sprite sheets.
The released version takes about 4 minutes to dash through once you’ve mastered it.
